This article explain about How to Register a Business With Google Maps. Google Maps allows people to find directions both on the computer and on their mobile devices. Google Maps also has a feature that tells the user what businesses and landmarks are around the location through the Google Places directory.

If you want your business to show up on Google Maps, you must first list it with Google Places. The listing is free, and you gain a higher visibility with Google Maps users.

Register a Business With Google Maps
  • Access Google Places on your computer's Internet browser using the link in Resources. Sign into your Google account. Sign up for a Google account if you do not already have one.
  • Click "Add new business." Enter your business information, including the name, address and phone number of your business. Click "Next."
  • Enter the optional information about your business, including the category, hours of operation and payment options for your business. Upload any relevant pictures or videos if applicable. Click "Next."
  • Preview how your Google Places listing will look in Google Maps. Click "Submit" when you are happy with the way it looks. Select how you would like to verify the listing, such as by phone or mail, and click "Finish."
  • Verify your Google Places listing in the way you chose in Step 4. For example, if you chose by phone, answer the phone call from Google Places and enter the code on the screen.
