This article explain about How to Register a Google Maps Key. Google Maps is a free, Web-based mapping service developed by Google. In addition to providing traditional street mapping and route planning functionality, Google Maps lets users view satellite imagery, terrain elevations, and user-generated photos and videos for countries throughout the world.

Google lets website developers integrate these mapping features into their sites through the use of an application programming interface (API).

The company controls access to the data by requiring developers to sign up for and implement a unique API key in their website code. Fortunately, registering for a Google Maps API key is a quick process.

Register a Google Maps API Key

• Open your Web browser and navigate to the "Sign Up for the Google Maps API" page.
• Click the "Sign in" link at the top-right corner of the page and log into your newly created Google Account if you have not done so previously.
• Check the box labeled "I have read and agree with the terms and conditions."
• Enter your website address in the corresponding field.
• Click "Generate API key." The page will reload, with your newly created API key listed near the top.
